<br /> Selectmen to acquire by purchase or by eminent domain for
<br /> 1 conservation purposes all, or a major portion, of a parcel of '
<br /> land of 3.6 acres, more or less, identified on the 1985 Mashpee Willard L. Hanson, Chairman
<br /> Assessors' Maps as Map 35,-Plot 32 bounded on the west by
<br /> . Lovell's Lane, on the northbyForestdale Road (Route 130) and
<br /> the land of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Museum, on the east. by B. Jean Thomas
<br /> the Mashpee River and on the south by lands of the Massachusetts
<br /> Divisons of Fisheries and Wildlife and now or formerly of Mary H.
<br /> Potter, the said land to be held in the care and custody of the peter M. Lawrence
<br /> Conservation Commission, pursuant to General Laws Chapter 40, BOARD OF SELECTMEN
<br /> Section 8C; further, to see if the Town will vote to appropriate

<br /> appropriate or transfer from available funds a sum of money to
<br /> the Interest on Temporary Loans Account and a sum of money to the
<br /> Issuance of Debt Acocunt; further, to see if the Town will -
<br /> authorize the Board of Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission
<br /> to apply for and accept Federal and/or State grants, including
<br /> reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the General Laws,
<br /> to be applied by the Town toward the financing of this purchase,
<br /> and to enter into contracts and agreements with Federal and/or '
<br /> State agencies, private conservation trusts, or other entities or
<br /> persons in connection with the purchase and preservation for con-
<br /> servation purposes of all or a major portion.of such land; and
<br /> finally, to see if the Town will authorize the Conservation
<br /> Commission and the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements
<br /> and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf - -
<br /> of the Town to effectuate said purchase; or take any other action
<br /> related thereto. - - -

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the town by-laws, Chapter
<br /> 2, Article 2.6 Finance Committee, Section 2.6.2 Duties by -
<br /> inserting after the word "warrant", the following, "and shall
<br /> include their recommendations in the warrant"; and further, by , .
<br /> deleting the words "to the town." at the end of the second
<br /> sentence, and insert the following, "and outline the financial
<br /> status of the town prior to the business of a special or annual
<br /> town meeting' ; or take any other action relating thereto. .
<br /> Section 2.6.2 would then read: The Finance Committee shall
<br /> - choose one of theirnumber as Chairman and likewise choose a -
<br /> clerk. Said Committee may consider such questions .with reference
<br /> to the conduct of the Town affairs as they may deem advisable, -
<br /> and may consult with any and all officers, boards and committees
<br /> of the Town with reference to matters under their supervision;
<br /> they shall consider the various articles in the warrant and shall, - -
<br /> include their recommendations in the warrant for any annual or _
<br /> special meeting called- during their tenure of office and shall -
<br /> make a report of their doings and recommendations and outline the
<br /> financial status of the town prior to the business of any special -
<br /> or annual meeting or take any other action relating thereto.

<br /> Structure, Section 1.1.2.1 Quorum by adding a new sub-section.
