I <br /> Article 35 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and empower the Board of <br /> Selectmen to purchase or take by eminent domain on behalf of the Town <br /> of Mashpee for water supply purposes an easement in, upon, over and <br /> under private streets within the Briarwood/Otis Trailer Park Area- <br /> Phase I, all particularly shown on a plan entitled "Plan Showing <br /> Takings for Utility Easements, Mashpee, MA" a copy of which plan is on <br /> file in the office of the Town Clerk and to raise and appropriate or <br /> transfer from available funds a sum of money to carry out the <br /> foregoing. <br /> Motion to amend to read: <br /> I move the Town vote to authorize and empower the Board of Selectmen to <br /> secure necessary engineering and legal work for the purpose of preparation ' <br /> of a plan suitable for recording at the Registry of Deeds for the purchase or <br /> taking by eminent domain on behalf of the Town for water supply purposes :. <br /> of an easement in, upon, over and under private streets within the Briarwood/Otis <br /> Trailer Park Area-Phase I, said streets being more particularly shown on a <br /> sketch plan entitled "Plan Showing Takings for Utility Easements, Mashpee, <br /> MA." a copy of which is on file In the office of the Town Clerk, and further, <br /> to raise and appropriate the sum of $20,000.00 for said purpose._,___!__T—, _, - __ <br /> In order to construct the water distribution system, <br /> the Town would need easements to have the water lines <br /> on privately-owned roadways.
