Article 48 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 41, <br /> Section 98C of the Massachusetts General Laws. <br /> Motion to accept as printed. . . . . . . .motion carries. . . . ...: .8:47 -P.M. <br /> This Article if passed would allow the Chief of <br /> Police the option to promulgate a regulation to <br /> have Police Department personnel wear on- the police <br /> uniform either a name tag or a numerical tag for <br /> identification to the public. <br /> Article 49 : , <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $5,970 to pur- <br /> chase a 800 MHZ mobile radio and portable radio for the Animal Control <br /> Officer, <br /> Motion to raise and appropriate $5,97O. . .motion carries. . . . . ... :.8:50 P.M. <br /> At the 1986 Annual Town Meeting the installation <br /> of a new 800 MHZ radio system by the Police Depart- <br /> ment was approved. The acceptance of the above <br /> article would provide the Animal Control Officer <br /> to communicate with the Police Department on this <br /> radio frequency. <br /> Article 50 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $7, 832 to hire <br /> three part-time maintenance employees for the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department. One part-time (18 hours weekly) year round posiiton to be <br /> classified as grade 1 in the Personnel Administration Plan, Appendix <br /> A. and two part-time (18 hours weekly) seasonal positions to be <br /> classified under Appendix B, and to allocate said funds as follows: <br /> $7,720 to the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Salary Account and $112 <br /> to the medicare account, <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone. . . .motion carries.- . . .-. . .. :' 8:•51 'P.M. <br /> -45- <br />
