Amended to read <br /> Z move the Town vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by <br /> purchase or by eminent domain for conservation purposes all or a <br /> portion of a parcel of land of 21 . 3 acres generally described as on <br /> the west side of the Mashpee River between said river and River Road <br /> and more specifically described as all lots and roadways decribed on a <br /> subdivision plan entitled "River Ridge North , Plan of Land in Mashpee, <br /> Mass . for River Ridge Trust" dated July 25 , 1986 and recorded at the <br /> Barnstable County Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 423 , Page 84, as well <br /> as lots 1 , 2 , and 3 , River Road and Ridge Road as described on a sub- <br /> division plan entitled "River Ridge South , Plan of Land in Mashpee, <br /> Mass , for River Ridge Trust" dated July 25 , 1986 and recorded at the <br /> Barnstable County Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 423 , Page 85 , copies <br /> of which are on file in the Town Clerk ' s office, the said land to be <br /> held in the care and custody of the Conservation Commission, pursuant <br /> to General Laws Chapter 40 , Section 8C; further, the Town vote `to <br /> appropriate $1 , 500 , 000 for such purpose, including expenses incidental <br /> and related thereto and to raise such appropriation , the Treasurer, <br /> with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow $1 ,500,000. <br /> under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7 ( 3) of the General <br /> Laws , or any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of <br /> the Town therefor with said bonding authorization contingent upon the <br /> Town receiving formal notification of state or federal grants or <br /> receiving donations totaling $1 , 500 , 000 as well as receiving dona- <br /> tions to offset the entire cost of issuing the bonds or notes, prior <br /> to the issuance of any bonds or notes ; and further , that the Town vote <br /> �:o authorize the Board of Selectmen to expend said donation or dona- <br /> tions received by the Town to pay the interest on the temporary loans <br /> issued , the debt issuance costs , and principal of said loans; and <br /> Further , to see if the Town w411 authorize the Board of Selectmen <br /> and/or Conser,iation Commission to apply for and accept federal and/or <br /> state grants , including reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 <br /> of the GeneralLaws to be applied by the Town toward ache financing of <br /> this purchase , and to enter into contracts and agreements with federal <br /> and/or state agencies , private conservation trusts , or other entities <br /> or persons in connection with the purchase and preservation for <br /> conservation purposes of all or a major portion of such land; and <br /> finally, to see if the Town will authorize the Conservation Commission <br /> and the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements and execute any <br /> and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to <br /> effectuate said purchase . <br /> Motion to accept as printed with amendments. . . . .motion carries.on.a <br /> unanimous vote. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .8: 16 P.M. <br /> Motion to reconsider Articles 56-57-58. . . .motion defeated. . . . . . .8: 19 P.M. <br /> 1 h <br />
