a Article 66 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate total the sum of $1,940 to defray <br /> expenses of Independence House, Inc., Cape Cod's resource center for Battered Women <br /> and their children and Rape Sexual Assault Vicbm/Survivors. Said funds to be expended <br /> under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion to raise and appropriate. . . . . $1 ,940. . . . motion carries. . . . <br /> Article 67 <br /> We, the undersigned, registered voters of the Town of Mashpee hereby petition the Board <br /> of Selectmen to take the necessary action to see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate and/or transfer from available funds the amount of one thousand and five <br /> hundred dollars ($1500.00) to help defray costs of providing energy and food programs <br /> and services provided by the Cape and Islands Self Reliance Corporation to the residents of <br /> the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion to raise and appropriate $1500. . . .motion carries. . . . . . 9: 55 P.M. <br /> Article 68 <br /> To see if the Town of Mashpee will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds the sum of$1,500 to continue to help defray expenses of sponsoring cultural events <br /> initiated by the former Mashpee Arts Council and carried forward by the newly formed <br /> Mashpee Arts Council, Incorporated. <br /> Mashpee Arts Council, Inc. is now a tax exempt cultural-educational organization under the <br /> IRS status: 501 C (3)and incorporated in order to separate Council-initiated activities from <br /> the Massachusetts Arts Lottery Council's function of disbursing bi-annual allocations to <br /> and through the Town. <br /> • The appropriation request will continue to be used to help defray operational expenses <br /> incurred to produce established events and to generate new activities for residents. <br /> Motion to raise and appropriate S1500. . . . . .motion carries. . . . 9 :55 P.M. <br /> Article 69 <br /> To see whether the Town will agree to grant a year round all alcoholic package store license <br /> to Triple 'C' Enterprises, Inc. doing business as'The Barn' in the Merry Meadow Plaza on <br /> Route 28 in Mashpee as an exception to M.G.L. c. 138 Section 17' due to a population <br /> limitation. <br /> . . . . . . . . 9:56 P.M. <br /> Motion to indefinitely Postpone • • • " " ' . <br /> Article 70 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate from available funds the sum of Two <br /> Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($2,800.00) to be used for the Mashpee children being <br /> served by the Cape Cod Child Development Program, Inc., (Head Start). <br /> Motion to raise and appropriate 32,890. . . . motion carries. . . . . . . . 9 : 59 P.m <br />
