<br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout and definition of Santuit
<br /> Pond Road, Briar Patch Lane, Bayberry Drive, Deer Ridge Road, Edgewater Road,
<br /> Mayflower Road, Fawn Road, Cranberry Lane, and Deer Foot Circle as shown on the
<br /> plan entitled, "Layout of Santuit Pond Estates Located in Mashpee - Mass. Prepared
<br /> for Town of Mashpee Scale 1"=100' Cape & Island Surveying, Inc.," which is on file
<br /> in th office of the Town Clerk, and further that the Town vote to raise and
<br /> appropriate and/or transfer from available funds and/or authorize to borrow a sum
<br /> of money under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Sections 7 and 8 to the Santuit Pond
<br /> Roads Construction Account to be used for legal, engineering, construction and
<br /> reconstruction expenses associated with the taking and improvement of the roads,
<br /> j and further that the Board of Selectmen are authorized to acquire the fee ownership
<br /> of the roads by purchase, gift or eminent domain and are directed to assess
<br /> betterments to the owners of the land abutting the said roads.

<br /> I move that the Town vote to accept the layouts and definitions of Santuit Pond
<br /> Road, Briar Patch Lane, Bayberry Drive, Deer Ridge Road, Edgewater Road,
<br /> Mayflower Road, Fawn Road, Cranberry Lane, and Deer Foot Circle as shown on a
<br /> plan entitled, 'layout of Santuit Pond Estates located in Mashpee-Mass. Prepared for
<br /> Town of Mashpee scale 1"=100' Cape & Islands Surveying, 'Inc.," a copy of which is
<br /> on file in the office of the Town Clerk, and to authorize and empower the Board of
<br /> Selectmen to acquire the fee ownership on, over and under the said roads as so
<br /> defined, by purchase, gift or eminent domain, and to accomplish said purpose and
<br /> for expenses incidental and relating thereto and to make repairs and reconstruction
<br /> to said roads the Town vote to appropriate $650,000 and to raise such appropriation,
<br /> the Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, be authorized to borrow
<br /> at one time or from time to time, $650,000 under and pursuant to Chapter 44
<br /> Sections 7 and 8 of Massachusetts General Laws, or any other enabling authority,
<br /> and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefore, to the Santuit Pond Roads
<br /> Construction Account to be used for legal, engineering, construction and recon-
<br /> struction expenses; and further, that the Board of Selectmen be authorized and
<br /> directed to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting the ways.
