To see if the Town will vote to authorize and empower the Board of Selectmen anc Conservation Commission to grant to the Mashpee Water District an easement over a portion of Town owned land shown on the 1993 Mashpee Assessors Map as Map 43, parcel 2, and more specifically described on a plan of land entitled "Site Plan of Land in Mashpee, Mass. prepared for the Water District" , dated June 9, 1992 and revised on July 30, 1993, prepared by Eagle Surveying & Engineering, Inc. , 10 Seaboard Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601, which is on file in the Town Clerk' s office, and Mashpee Water District office, for the purpose of development, installation and maintenance of well sites and water distribution system to secure supply of municipal water, on such terms and conditions as the Board of Selectmen determine to be in the best interest of the inhabitants of the Town. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 138, Section 17B which provides for the conversion of seasonal all alcoholic beverage and wine and malt package store licenses to annual all alcoholic store licenses at the rate of one conversion per year. Comments. a "yes" vote on this article would allow the holder of a seasonal all alcoholic beverage or wine and malt beverage store license to apply the Board of Selectmen for an annual all alcoholic beverages package store license. The Selectmen would be allowed to issue one such a license per year in excess of the quota contained in the law, provided that the licensee turn in its existing license and the number of seasonal licenses is reduced by one. The adoption of the article would in effect allow for a seasonal all alcoholic or a wine and malt package store license to be converted to an all alcoholic package store licenses at the rate of one per year.
