Submitted by Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article has been recommended by the Massachusetts Mumicipal <br /> Association to support legislation to guarantee cities and towns with our fair <br /> share of revenue from the State lottery law provides that growth revenues go <br /> to municipalities, the State routinely subvents the legislative intent by <br /> ' diverting portions of this revenue away from localities and into the State' s <br /> general fund. <br /> Motion: Motion Article 27 be voted as printed in the warrant. <br /> copy sent to Rep. Thomas Cahir May 21 , 1993. <br /> Motion carries by voice vote 10 :01 p,m. <br /> Article 28 : <br /> To see if the Town of Mashpee will instruct its representatives to the <br /> General Court to support legislation filed by the Massachusetts Municipal <br /> Association that would extablish in state law a Local Roads Fund in order to <br /> ensure a fair and predictable share to state gas tax collections for <br /> distribution to cities and towns for use on local roads. <br /> Submitted by Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article has been recommended by the Massachusetts Municipal <br /> Association to support legislation which will require the State to fulfill its <br /> commitment to share with cities and towns State motor fuel excise collections. <br /> This would enable the Town to conduct much-needed repairs to local roads. <br /> Motion: Motion Article 28 be voted as printed in the warrant. <br /> Motion carries by voice vote 10 : 02 p.m. <br /> copy sent to Rep. Thomas Cahir May 21 , 1993 . <br /> Article 29 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law as follows : <br /> By adding a new Residence District "R-1 " to the listing of districts contained <br /> in Article III , Section 174-4 and to the Zoning Map of the Town of Mashpee <br /> established under Section 174-5, with the boundaries of said district being as <br /> follows : (as shown on the 1992 Mashpee ' s Assessors ' Map) beginning at the <br /> shore line at Nantucket Sound and the southeast corner of the parcel shown as <br /> Map 117, Block 351 ; thence northwesterly along the wouthwestern property line <br /> of said parcel and continuing on the same course to the shore line of Deans <br /> • Pond; thence northerly and westerly along said shore line to the eastern <br /> property line of Map 117 , Block 252; thence along said sideline to the eastern <br /> sideline of Uncle Percy' s Road, then continuing on the same course to the <br /> western sideline of said road; thence northeasterly along said sideline to the <br /> southern sideline of Nick' s Trail ; thence northwesterly 330 feet along said <br /> sideline to a point ; thence northeasterly across Nick' s Trail to the <br /> southwestern corner of Map 117 , Block 235; thence northeasterly in a straight <br /> line to the northernmost corner of Map ill , dock 187; thence on -he same <br />
