Town of Mashpee <br /> Annual Town Meeting <br /> Meeting May 6, 1996 <br /> Meeting opened at 8:08 P.M. <br /> Number of Voters -448 <br /> Quorum- 0 <br /> Barnstable, ss: Greetings <br /> To the Constables of the Town, <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and <br /> summon the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to <br /> meet at the Mashpee Middle School on Monday, the 6th day of May, 1996 at 7:30 p.m. for the <br /> following purposes: <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following Warrant. <br /> Article 1. <br /> To choose for a one-year term a burial agent, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Motion made to nominate Leigh Potter as burial agent. <br /> Motion made to accept. <br /> Motion passes at 8:11 P.M. <br /> Motion to move Articles 4, 5, 7 and 9 out of order <br /> Motion does not carry - 8:12 P.M. <br /> Article 2. <br /> To see if the Town will fix the salaries of the following elected officers as provided in Chapter <br /> 41, Section 108, of the General Laws for the period of July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997, and further <br /> to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate and transfer and appropriate a sum of money <br /> to defray the Town's expenses for the ensuing fiscal year according to the following line item <br /> budget with the maximum amount to be appropriated as shown in the column entitled "Dept FY <br /> 97 Requests" (See Omnibus), or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Motion made by Selectman Dinizio. <br />
