Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $6,361 from the Hurricane Bob Account and $33,139 from the Falmouth Tuition Account for a total of $39,500 to the Selectmen's Legal Engineering Consultant Account. Motion passes at 7:37 p.m. Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $190,000 from the Foundation Reserve Grant Account to the FY 1998 School Budget Account. Submitted by the Town Accountant Explanation: The Town received $190,000 from the State for Foundation Aid. This article is required to carry over these funds to the FY 1998 school budget. To see if the Town will vote to rescind its borrowing authorization of $1,500,000 for the acquisition of real property, Article 21 of the Annual Town Meeting held May 6, 1996. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: At the October 7, 1996 Town Meeting a vote was taken which reauthorized and updated the prior authorization under Article 21 of the May 6, 1996 Town Meeting to purchase conservation land in the area of Bufflehead Bay. This article seeks to rescind the earlier action i which is no longer valid, but remains an open borrowing authorization. i Recommendation Finance Committee recommends approval.
