Motion made by Selectman Frye. Motion: I move the Town vote to re-authorize a revolving Leisure Services Account through the Town Accountant's office in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 53E 1/2, to be expended under the direction of the Leisure Services Department, in order to place anticipated revenues collected from program income which shall be used to further the operation, of programs under the Leisure Services Department, and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account for Fiscal Year 1998 at$22,000. Motion passes at 7:56 p.m. Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow, or transfer from available funds $446,419.00 to provide for road improvement projects under Chapter 113 of the Acts of 1996 of the General Laws. Submitted by the Department of Public.Works Explanation: This article authorizes the use of State grant funds for Fiscal Year 1998, often referred to as Chapter 90 funds. The Town of Mashpee is 100% reimbursed for the use of funds for roadway improvements. These revenues are from the gas tax as apportioned back to cities and towns. Motion: I move the Town vote to complete road improvement projects under Chapter 113 of the Acts of 1996 of the General Laws, and for said purposes and for expenses incidental and related thereto, the Town vote to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Board of Selectmen to borrow$446,419 at one time or from time to time pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 6.
