I <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> Annual Town Meeting <br /> 255 voters present <br /> Quorum 0 <br /> Barnstable, ss: Greetings <br /> To the Constables of the Town, <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and <br /> summon the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to <br /> meet at the Mashpee Middle School on Monday, the 6th day of October, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. for <br /> the following purposes: <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following Warrant. <br /> Town Meeting opened at 7:44 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Jane D. Labute, Town Clerk: Mr. Moderator, I move pursuant to <br /> Massachusetts G.L.C. 39§ 15, to dispense with the count of those articles requiring a 2/3rds vote, <br /> and have the Moderator simply declare a 2/3rds vote after a voice vote. Further, if 7 voters <br /> request a hand count, that the Moderator must order a hand count. <br /> i <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:44 p.m. <br /> Article 1. <br /> i <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of <br /> $522.90 to pay previous fiscal year unpaid bills as follows: <br /> Maxm Consulting $192.00 <br /> Woodbine, P.C. $184.00 <br /> Kathleen Soares $105.57 <br /> True Value $ 41.33 <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Accountant <br /> Explanation: Approval of this article is necessary to pay for outstanding bills that were <br /> submitted by various departments after the close of the previous year. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion to be made by George Costa. <br />
