October 4, 1999 Annual Town Meeting I' Article 16 _ To see if the Town will vote to amend the zoning bylaw by amending Subsection 174-79.B.(1) as follows: By replacing the seventh and eighth paragraphs,which currently read as follows: "Thence westerly by the southern side line of the Nathan S. Ellis Highway (Route 15 1) to its intersection with the Childs(Herring)River: Thence northerly along the center line of the Childs River and westerly and northerly along the shoreline of John's Pond to its intersection with the northern property line of Assessors' Map 57, Plot 44A;" With the following: "Thence westerly by the southern side line of the Nathan S.Ellis Highway(Route 151)to the northeast corner as shown on Assessors'Map 72,Block 85; Thence northwesterly to the northwest corner as shown on Assessors'Map 72,Block 53; Thence northwesterly to the northwest corner as shown on Assessors'Map 72,Block 46; Thence northwesterly to the northwest corner as shown on Assessors'map 72,Block 18 and continuing on the same course to the shoreline of John's Pond; Thence westerly and northerly along thb shoreline of John's Pond to its intersection with the northern property line as shown on Assessors'Map 57,Block 44A;" And by replacing the word"Plot",where it appears,with the word"Block", And by amending the map described in Section 174-79.A(1) entitled"Groundwater Protection District, Town of Mashpee"to reflect such change in boundaries; or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen and Water District Commission Explanation: This article has been submitted at the request of the Mashpee Water District to enlarge the boundaries of one of the Groundwater Protection Districts protected under the zoning bylaw to include all of the,"Zone II"recharge area of the District's new"Turner Road"well.
