There is <br /> no record that the road was ever laid out as a public way. Although it once served as a ,o , <br /> dirt road, it has since been converted to use as a drainage ditch for runoff from facilities <br /> at Otis Air National Guard Base and is not passable by vehicle traffic. This <br /> discontinuance and abandonment was agreed to in the purchase and sale agreement <br /> entered into by the Selectmen and MacDonald Land Trust regarding the Town's <br /> purchase in February of a 14.05 acre parcel of land from the Trust, which owns land on <br /> both sides of "Hollow Road" and wished to be assured that its properties would be <br /> treated as one parcel for zoning purposes. <br /> 32 <br />
