uu <br /> n <br /> SELECTMEN AMENDED MOTION ON ARTICLE 31 —Short Version <br /> I move that Article 31 be approved as printed in the warrant but with the following <br /> amendments: <br /> 1) In Subsection 174-25.1.C.(3)(b) change"two (2) additional parking spaces,"in the first <br /> sentence to"three (3) additional parking spaces"and delete the phrase"and two (2) <br /> spaces for employees"; <br /> 2) In Subsection 174-25.1.D.(6) change the phrase "10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m."to"8:00 <br /> p.m. to 8:00 q.m."; <br /> SELECTMEN AMENDED MOTION ON ARTICLE 31 — Full Text Version <br /> i <br /> I move that the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law as follows: <br /> by replacing the definition of a "Home Occupation"in Section 174-3 with the following: <br /> "HOME OCCUPATION — Gainful employment carried on by the permanent residents of a I <br /> dwelling unit. A home occupation must be clearly incidental and secondary to the use of the <br /> premises as a dwelling and compatible with surrounding uses. Home occupations do not <br /> involve the production of products where electrical interference, noise, dust, vibration, glare, <br /> fumes, odors, or other objectionable effects are perceptible outside the premises.", <br /> by replacing the current wording of Section 174-25.I(5) with the following: <br /> i <br /> "(5) Permitted Home Occupations, subject to the provisions of Subsection 174-25.1.", <br /> by replacing the current wording of Section 174-25.I(6) with the following: <br /> "(6) Conditional Home Occupations, subject to the provisions of Subsection 174-25.1.", <br /> by changing the designation under all columns for Subsection 174-25.I(6) from "PR"to"SP" <br /> and by adding the following new Section 174-25.1: <br /> "§174-25.1. Home Occupations. <br /> A. Statement of Intent. <br /> 4 <br /> This section is intended to protect residential areas from potential adverse impacts of activities <br /> defined as home occupations, to permit residents of the community a broad choice in the use <br /> of their homes as a place of livelihood in the production or supplementing of personal/family <br /> income, to restrict incompatible uses and to establish criteria and standards for the use of I <br /> residential structures or dwelling units for home occupations. <br /> B.
