4 <br /> 5E <br /> (1) Certain home occupations which involve visits to the property by persons who <br /> are not residents of the premises, which involve employees who are not <br /> residents of the premises and which otherwise conform with the requirements of <br /> this section may be conducted upon approval of a special permit following the <br /> procedures specified for approval of special permits by the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals in Subsection 174-24.C. The following shall be considered examples of <br /> such conditional home occupations: <br /> (a) Home professional offices for engineers, planners, architects, consultants, <br /> lawyers, accountants, physicians, other licensed medical practitioners, <br /> realtors, insurance agents and members of similar professions; <br /> (b) Barber shops and beauty parlors, limited to one chair; <br /> (c) Small repair shops such as watch and clock repair, small appliance repairs <br /> and similar uses; j <br /> (d) Private livery services with no more than one (1) vehicle and land-based <br /> facilities associated with water-dependent uses such as water tour craft <br /> and charter fishing boats carrying six (6) clients or less or similar uses; <br /> (e) Incidental work and storage in connection with the off-premises business <br /> of a builder, carpenter, painter, plumber, electrician, mason or other <br /> artisan, tree surgeon, landscape contractor or similar occupation. <br /> (2) Application procedures. Applicants must submit an application to the Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals for a Special Permit under the provisions of Section 174-24.C. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals may grant a Special Permit if it reasonably i <br /> concludes from the evidence that the proposed home occupation will meet the <br /> standards set out in Section 174-24.C. and this section. The Board may impose, <br /> if warranted by the evidence, additional conditions as may be deemed necessary <br /> to protect the legitimate use and enjoyment of neighboring properties, including <br /> a limit on the time said permit may remain in force or provisions for automatic <br /> rescission under certain circumstances. <br /> (3) In addition to the general criteria listed under Subsection D., the following <br /> standards shall apply to conditional home occupations: <br /> (a) Not more than two (2) people who are not members of the household <br /> may be employed on the premises in connection with the home <br /> occupation. <br /> (b) Not more than three (3) additional parking spaces, other than those <br /> required for the residence, shall be allowed. Parking shall be screened <br /> using natural plantings or fencing so as to be non-offensive to abutting <br /> lots. Any need for parking generated by such use shall be met on the <br /> same lot containing the home occupation and may not be located within <br />
