§ 5-65. Powers and duties. 4 Said Committee shall be responsible for 1) assisting in any future updates to the Affordable Housing element of the Comprehensive Plan, 2) reviewing and submitting comments on any proposals for affordable housing projects submitted for approval to the Board of Selectmen under the Local Initiative Program or to the Zoning Board of Appeals under M.G.L. Chapter 40B, 3) identifying and facilitating opportunities for increased housing affordability in Mashpee on an ongoing basis, 4) working with the Planning Department and other agencies to develop a Housing Development Action Plan under the provisions of 760 CMR 46.00 and seeking its approval by the Board of t Selectmen and the Secretary of the Massachusetts Department of Housing & 1 Community Development and 5) maintaining communication with similar groups In other towns as well as federal, state and county agencies and non-profit affordable housing organizations. The activities and recommendations of the Committee shall be consistent with the goals, objectives, policies and action plan of the Town's adopted Comprehensive Plan. E Said Committee may also serve as, and may perform the functions and duties of, the Town's"Local Housing Partnership". provided that all of the legal and regulatory requirements for creation of such a "Partnership"are met. or take any other action relating thereto.
