§ 5-65. Powers and duties. <br /> 4 <br /> Said Committee shall be responsible for 1) assisting in any future updates to the <br /> Affordable Housing element of the Comprehensive Plan, 2) reviewing and submitting <br /> comments on any proposals for affordable housing projects submitted for approval to <br /> the Board of Selectmen under the Local Initiative Program or to the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals under M.G.L. Chapter 40B, 3) identifying and facilitating opportunities for <br /> increased housing affordability in Mashpee on an ongoing basis, 4) working with the <br /> Planning Department and other agencies to develop a Housing Development Action <br /> Plan under the provisions of 760 CMR 46.00 and seeking its approval by the Board of t <br /> Selectmen and the Secretary of the Massachusetts Department of Housing & 1 <br /> Community Development and 5) maintaining communication with similar groups In <br /> other towns as well as federal, state and county agencies and non-profit affordable <br /> housing organizations. The activities and recommendations of the Committee shall <br /> be consistent with the goals, objectives, policies and action plan of the Town's <br /> adopted Comprehensive Plan.
