50 foot wide strip along Goodspeed's and Noisy Hole Roads reserved for possible <br /> roadway use if ever needed. All but $1.00 of the purchase (for the roadway portion) is to <br /> be funded through the Town's Land Bank funds. The Town will also apply for 52% state <br /> reimbursement under the state's "Self-Help" program for the portion to be held for <br /> conservation purposes. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille. <br /> Motion: I move the Town hereby authorize the Selectmen to acquire, by purchase or <br /> otherwise, all or a portion of a parcel of land of 30 acres, more or less, identified on the <br /> 1999 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 36, Block 35, also shown as Parcel 2 on a "Plan <br /> of Land in Central Mashpee Mass. For Harry W. & Ellen A. Tabb", dated September 3, <br /> 1969 by Charles N. Savery, Inc., with the portion of said land lying wast of a line 25 feet <br /> east of the center line of Goodspeed's Meeting House Road, excluding any land lying <br /> within 25 feet on either side of the center line of Noisy Hole Road, to be held for <br /> conservation and passive recreation purposes in the care and custody of the Conservation <br /> Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C, the <br /> portion lying west of a line 25 feet west of the center line of Goodspeed's Meeting House <br /> Road to be held for open space or recreation purposes in the care and custody of the <br /> Board of Selectmen and the remainder to beheld in the care and custody of the Board of <br /> Selectmen for general municipal purposes, including roadway use; that the sum of <br /> $330,000 is hereby appropriated for such purpose, including all expenses incidental and <br /> related thereto; that to raise this appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the <br /> Selectmen, is hereby authorized to borrow $330,000 or any other sum under and pursuant <br /> to Chapter 44, Section 7(3) or any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of <br /> the Town therefor,; that while any borrowing authorized hereunder shall constitute a <br /> general obligation of the Town, it is expected that all but one dollar ($1.00) of said <br /> borrowing shall be repaid with funds from the Land Bank Fund established by the Town <br /> under the provisions of Chapter 293 of the Acts of 1998 (An Act Relative to the <br /> Establishment of the Cape Cod Open Space Land Acquisition Program); that the Town <br /> hereby appropriates the additional sum of $1,500 from the Land Bank Account to the <br /> Issuance of Debt Account; that the Town hereby authorizes the Board of Selectmen <br /> and/or Conservation Commission to apply for and accept any available Federal, State <br /> and/or County grants, including reimbursements under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the <br /> General Laws, the "Self-Help Act", to be applied by the Town toward the costs of this <br /> i <br /> i <br />
