Article 30 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and instruct the Board of Selectmen to file a <br /> Home Rule Petition, so called, with the General Court in substantially the following <br /> form: <br /> AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF MASHPEE TO HOLD A FALL ANNUAL s <br /> TOWN MEETING } <br /> Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court Assembly, and by the authority <br /> of the same,as follows: <br /> a <br /> i <br /> SECTION 1: Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 39, Section 9 of the General Laws, or any general ' <br /> or special law to the contrary, the Town of Mashpee is hereby authorized to hold a Fall Annual Town- <br /> Meeting. <br /> SECTION 2:This act shall take effect upon its passage, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Clerk 3 <br /> Explanation: Chapter 39, Section 9, allows a town to hold an annual town meeting to be held between <br /> February and May unless provided by special law.
