Article 9 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create and fill two full-time Skilled Laborer positions <br /> under the Public Works Local 254 Contract, Step i for the Department of Public <br /> Works, and further to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $62,134, <br /> with said funds to be distributed as follows: $46,592 to the D.P.W. Salary/Wage <br /> Account; $14,688 to the Medical Insurance Account; $784 to the Medicare Account, <br /> and $70 to the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Public Works Department <br /> f <br /> Explanation: Over the past 10 years as the Town has expanded, the Public Works <br /> Department has not added any full-time staff. We are now responsible for the <br /> maintenance of seven town buildings, three town beaches, one cemetery, town { <br /> recreation areas and all town roads. During the past 10 years, we have added 76 <br /> additional roads to be maintained.
