Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create a part-time Clerk for the Police Department <br /> under the Personnel Administration Plan, Grade 2 Step 1, and further to raise and <br /> appropriate or transfer from available funds $10,610, with said funds to be <br /> distributed as follows: $9,725 to the Police Salary/Wage Account and $885 to the <br /> Medicare Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Department <br /> Explanation: This 18-hour per week part-time Clerk position will be assigned duties <br /> in the Mashpee Police Department Administration Division, Clerical Services &Central <br /> Records Unit. Specifically, the part-time Clerk position will be assigned primarily to <br /> administrative services and will provide backup duties for the firearms licensing and <br /> records clerks, which are both part-time positions. This position will provide better <br /> administrative support, eliminate the need to pay for floating clerical coverage and <br /> will ensure continuity in the absence of the Administrative Assistant for the Police <br /> Department.
