Article 15 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds <br /> $446,419 to provide for road improvement projects under Chapter 90 related funds, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: This article authorizes the use of funds to be 100% reimbursed by the <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These funds are the apportioned State Gas Tax distributed to <br /> cities and towns. <br /> t. <br /> j <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by David Leveille. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate $446,419 to provide for road improvement <br /> projects in and for the town, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90 of the <br /> Massachusetts General Laws. <br /> Motion passes at 9:16 p.m. <br /> Article 16 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create the position of Deputy Director under the Massachusetts <br /> Laborers' District Council, Unit A, for the Department of Public Works, and further to raise and <br /> appropriate $68,915, with said funds to be distributed as follows: $60,000 to the DPW <br /> Salary/Wage Account, $8,445 to the Medical Insurance Account, $435 to the Medicare Account, <br /> and$35 to the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: With the expansion of town needs, the department needs a person to assist with <br /> procurement, project development and project management.
