15 <br /> t <br /> y1 <br /> 1 <br /> Article 18 <br /> To see if the Town will vote that the parcel of land shown on Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map <br /> 93, Block 9 not be held by the Town as conservation land; and further, vote that said parcel <br /> shall be transferred from the care and custody of the Tax Collector for the purposes of sale, to <br /> the Board of Selectmen, for purposes of sale or lease to a non-profit entity with such transfer to <br /> be made subject to a deed restriction, which may contain a reverter clause, restricting the use <br /> of said parcel to those uses deemed appropriate by the Board of Selectmen and subject to <br /> certain design guidelines and other conditions which the Board may deem appropriate; and <br /> finally, to authorize the Board of Selectmen to make use of other instrumentalities of the Town <br /> or other agencies and to enter into any agreements necessary to affect the transfer of such <br /> land in accordance with this Article, or take any other action relating thereto. i <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> I <br /> Explanation: This article would authorize the selectmen to lease or sell a parcel of land <br /> containingapproximately 2.44 acres .x <br /> pp y , previously taken by the Town for non-payment of taxes, �4 <br /> to an appropriate non-profit entity, which may include a greenhouse as well as a residential �!{ <br /> home for the disabled. The land would be permanently restricted to uses deemed appropriate l <br /> by the Board of Selectmen (and would also have to conform to applicable zoning), with design �4 <br /> and other conditions specified by the Selectmen, and would be transferred to an agency or <br /> organization selected through a "Request for Proposals"process.
