Article 20 To see if the Town will amend Section 174-55.0 as follows: i., In an industrial district, one (1) freestanding sign is permitted on each lot, provided that it does not stand forty (40) square feet in signboard area, does not exceed five (5) feet in height and is located closer than fifty (50) feet to a lot line. In commercial districts, one (1) freestanding eY stand per road access point is permitted, with permission of lot owner where sign would be i positioned. Such sign will be limited to the name of the business and shall direct the public to its location. Such signs may not exceed forty (40) square feet in signboard area and may not 1tJ be closer than twelve (12) feet to any lot line. The top edge of any such freestanding sign shall be not higher than twenty-five (25) vertical measure above the average level of the ground h between the supports of each sign or take any other action related thereto. ff j Submitted by Petition Y Explanation: The purpose of this Article would allow a commercial business that is not visible from the road to advertise its location at a road access point. The purpose would only be to advertise a business that could not be seen from the road. Article 21 n To see if the Town will vote to accept the following new chapter to the Mashpee General Code: FH, Chapter 38: Public Records and Open Meetings tt 38-1 Purpose This bylaw' shall be known as the "Public Records and Open Meeting bylaw."
