Submitted by the Cemetery Commission Explanation: This article proposes to use funds received from the sale of plots at the cemeteries for operating expenses related to their maintenance. Currently, one half of the funds received from sales are deposited into the Cemetery Reserve Receipt Account, an account set up { specifically for the collection of fees for maintenance. A similar transfer was approved at the December 9, 2002 Special Town Meeting for FY03 operating expenses. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Animal Control Officer as a Group 4 member of the Barnstable County Retirement System, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Police Chief Explanation: As a part of the negotiations to settle the collective bargaining agreement between the Town and the MLDC Administrator's Unit, the Board of Selectmen has agreed to sponsor an article to shift the Animal Control Officer into Group 4 of the retirement system. This is the group which includes law enforcement officers. Motion made by Kenneth Marsters.
