[ X ] existingby-law within which each proposed amendment occurs. This requirement is <br /> very important since without the full text of the entire main section of the existing q ; <br /> by-law being amended we will be unable to ascertain the full meaning of the proposed <br /> chanWs in context. By-law amendments include even minor technical chanWs in current <br /> , R <br /> by-laws, amendments to tables showing uses pennitted in different zoning districts, and <br /> amendments which re-codify,reorganize or renumber existing by-laws previously <br /> approved by the Attorney General. ` <br /> ' 1v <br /> Submission TOWN MEETING ACTION--Three (3)certified copies of the main motion, or <br /> #2. [__2L <br /> ] amended main motion voted by town meeting with the date and votes thereon. Also <br /> include a copy of each floor amendment favorably acted upon by town meeting. <br /> Submission FINALVERSION OF BY-LAW AS AMENDED -- One (1) certified copy of the <br /> #3. [ x ] by-law (Submission#1)as amended by town meeting(Submission#2). <br /> Submission ANNOTATED COMPARISON --Please indicate all changes (including deletions I <br /> #4. [ x ] and additions)to the existing by-law. This may be done in any manner by which the <br /> chanWs are clearly indicated. For example,you may annotate a copy of the existing <br /> by-law(#1 above)or a copy of the final version of the by-law as amended(#3 above) <br /> by underlining,italicizing,or otherwise highlighting or indicating all changes. Be sure to <br /> include a legend explaining the method chosen. Preferably, y ou may subst itute for the ' <br /> above a cornputer-generated"compare"document in which the deleted text is shown in <br /> "strike-out"format,and the new text is s how n in"redline"format. <br /> For any vote requiring a si mp le ma jority it will be sufficient to certify that the moderator declared that the motion <br /> carried. W here th e vot a was u nani mo us, it w ill be su fficien t to certify th at th e mo derato r declared that the m oti on cam ed <br /> unanimously. t <br /> For any vote requiring more th an a si mp le ma iority and w here th a vot a was not u n a n im ou s an actu al v ote ; <br /> 1 ' <br /> count must be taken. Zoning by-laws and historic district by-laws require two-thirds vote. <br /> 4 <br /> However, if the town has either(a) by vote ofthis town meeting, or(b) in apreviously adopted general by-law <br /> voted that a counted vote need not be taken and that the Moderator may declare that the required vote has been achieved, <br /> then such declaration of the Moderator will be sufficient.
