Campisi - Case # SP-81-1-001
A Petition was filed by Donna L. Campisi, of Mashpee,
Massachusetts, for a Special Permit under Section 6.3, E-4, of the
land Use Regulations for permission to operate a beauty shop on
property located at the New Seabury Shopping Center, Mashpee,
Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with
Massachusetts General laws, Chapter 40A. Notice was given by
publication in the Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 23, 1980 and
December 30, 1980, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee
Town Hall on Wednesday, January 7, 1981 at 8x00 p.m. , at which time
the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting
throughout: Michael Makunas, Raymond G. Sweeney, Peter Muse.
The Petitioner explained to the Board that the intention
of the permit was for permission to operate a beauty shop. The prior
use of the premises had also been a beauty shop.
The Board found that the use of the premises would not be
detrimental to the Town or area by reason of excessive traffic noise
or demand on community facilities. The Board also established that
granting the Permit would be in the best interest of the community,
and would be in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the
ordance or by-law.
