MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> RE: Petition of Elisa Barrett Witkus for a Variance Case #V-87-11-113 <br /> A Petition was filed by Elisa Barrett Witkus of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Variance for permission to vary the front setback requirements in a <br /> R-3 Zoning District on property located on Cayuga & Canonchet Avenues <br /> (map 64, parcel 119H) , Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on <br /> October 26 & November 2, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made <br /> a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, November 10, 1987 and continued to November 18, 1987 at which <br /> time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Edward Govoni . <br /> The Board was informed by the engineer that an error was made in the <br /> placement of the foundation. The Board ascertained that the hardship was <br /> not created by the petitioner. Recommendations were received by the Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted unani- <br /> mously on November 18, 1987 to grant the 4 foot front setback Variance as <br /> requested. <br />
