MA 02649 <br /> f <br /> E DECISION <br />` FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Re: Petition of Shell Oil Company for a Special Permit SP-88-05-040 <br /> y A Petition was filed by Shell Oil Company for a Special Permit for <br /> permission to modify the pre-existing pump and island structures and to <br /> replace underground tanks in a C-2 zoningdistrict located at the Shell <br /> E Oil Company on Route 151 (Map 72, lot 85) Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br />` Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of General Circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on May 11 and May 18, 1988, a copy of which is attached hereto and made <br /> 1 a part hereof. <br /> 4 A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, May 25, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Richard Halpern. <br /> Counsel, representing the Applicant, reviewed plans to replace <br /> underground petroleum tanks and expand the island platform complex <br /> by replacing the pumps that exist there now and include a canopy over <br /> the pumps. <br /> Douglas Boyd, Building Inspector, stated that there were sign <br /> violations at the site and Counsel explained that he would present <br /> final signage plans for the Board's review. <br />
