Notice was given by publication in The
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee,
on November 27 and December 4, 1989, a copy of which is attached and
made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town
Hall on Wednesday, December 13, 1989 at 7 30'. p:m:_,at".which time the
following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting
throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Edward M. Govoni and John J. Friel.
Scott McAskill of Wm. M. Warwick & Assoc. represented the applicant.
He explained to the Board that the applicant proposed to add a 12' x 24'
addition and an 8' x 9' entrance hall to a one bedroom home built
in 1966. An abutter present stated he had-no objections.
The Board determined that the use is in harmony with the general
purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and complies with the
general provisions of the by-laws. The Board found that the extension
would not be more detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing
non-conforming use.
