Board of Appeals Minutes -November 13, 1996 4. <br /> Mr. Govoni moved to grant the request to withdraw the Variance application. Ms. <br /> Hawver seconded. All agreed. Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special Permit. Ms. <br /> Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br /> Kirby R. Thwing Jr -Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-25.G.4, 174-25.G.5 <br /> and 174-25.I.15 of the Zoning By-laws to allow a woodworking shop, visitors center and <br /> factory outlet store on property located in an I-1, C-2 and R-3 zoning district at 526 Main <br /> St. (Map 26, Block 8) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Harrison R. Frye Jr. and <br /> Yuoshma G. Frye). <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, C. Hawver, J. Dorgan <br /> Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and said his site was four acres within <br /> the 16 acre lot and he felt it was a Board of Appeals matter. He questioned the memo <br /> from the Town Planner which stated that the applicant would be required to provide an <br /> E.I.R. report which Mr. Slavinsky said could cost $25,000. Mr. Govoni said he would <br /> prefer to continue the hearing and request an opinion from Town Counsel. Mr. Govoni <br /> said the application also required approval of the Design Review Committee. Mr. Govoni <br /> moved to continue the hearing to January 8, 1997. Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br /> James Haidas- Cooke's Restaurant <br /> Paul Lebel informed the Board that James Haidas would like a minor modification to the <br /> Special Permit for Cooke's Restaurant to change the plans to eliminate a full basement and <br /> add a 5'6"x 24 storage area for mechanical equipment. Mr. Govoni moved to grant the <br /> minor modification to Special Permit 96-52 since it does not change the intent of the <br /> original Decision. Ms. Hawver seconded. Mr. Nelson made the vote unanimous. <br /> I <br /> Deer Crossine-Mr. Govoni explained the violations in the signage at the Italian Market at <br /> Deer Crossing to Ronald Cappozzoli, the owner. Mr. Cappozzoli, Jr. apologized to the <br /> Board for the banners at the market and said he did not realize he needed the approval of <br /> the Design Review Committee. Mr. Hauck explained that they would have to measure all <br /> of the buildings and signs to comply with the new sign code and come before the Board <br /> for a Special Permit on January 8, 1997. Mr. Cappozzoli also said they wanted to expand <br /> the second floor of the gym. <br /> George K Asdourian-Mr. Govoni moved to grant a six month extension to V-95-61. <br /> Mr. Nelson seconded. Ms. Hawver made the vote unanimous. <br /> Minutes Mr. Govoni moved to accept the Minutes of October 9 and October 23, 1996. <br /> Ms. Hawver seconded.
