TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes - January 14, 1998 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 1998 at 7:30 <br /> P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members present and acting throughout were: <br /> Edward M. Govoni, Chairman; Cheryl A Hawver, Clerk and Associate Members James <br /> M. Dorgan, Michael A. Makunas and Richard Guerrera, Building Inspector William F. <br /> Hauck was in attendance. <br /> L. Clarke Hill TRS. - Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-17, 174-20 and 174- <br /> 33 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to demolish an existing non-conforming <br /> residential dwelling and replace it with a new single family home on property located in an <br /> R-3 zoning district at 50 Popponesset Island Road (Map 106, Block 24)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, C. Hawver, M. Makunas <br /> Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and presented plans for the replacement <br /> of an existing dwelling. He informed the Board that the lot is non-conforming but that the <br /> proposed construction meets all zoning requirements on setbacks and has been approved <br /> by Conservation. No comments were received from abutters. Ms. Hawver noted that lot <br /> coverage would be increased from 5%to 101/6, Mr. Govoni stated that the new structure <br /> would be further from the water than the present structure. <br /> Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit. He found that the increases were within <br /> zoning, there was adequate parking and was not detrimental to the neighborhood. Mr. <br /> Govoni added that the proposal has been closed by Conservation. Ms. Hawver seconded. <br /> All agreed. <br /> Hans R. and Joan S. Fritsch i -Request a Special Permit under Sections 174-17 and 174- <br /> 20 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to demolish an existing cottage and construct a <br /> new single family home on property located in an R-5 zoning district at 170 Pimlico Pond <br /> Road (Map 2,Block 3)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E, Govoni, C. Hawver, R. Guerrera <br /> Mr. Padgett, Builder, represented the applicant. He stated that the project has received <br /> DEQE approval and that lot coverage would be increased from 2% to 3%. No comments <br /> were received from abutters. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Special Permit and found that the proposed construction <br /> conforms to zoning, there is adequate parking and will not be detrimental to the <br /> neighborhood and has Conservation approval. Mr. Guerrera seconded. All agreed. <br />
