MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, March 25, 1998 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at 7:30 PM at the <br /> Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members present were Ed Govoni, Chairman, James E. Regan, III, <br /> Vice Chairman, Associate Members Michael A. Makunas, James Dorgan, Robert Nelson, and <br /> Richard T. Guerrera. Cheryl Hawver, Clerk was not present. Building Inspector William Hauck <br /> was in attendance. <br /> Kenneth E. Litvack- requests a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-33 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to vary the front setback, lot coverage and setback from wetlands <br /> requirements to allow the constructions of a garage with a 20 foot front setback, a 9.1 foot <br /> setback from Popponesset Creek and 25 % lot coverage from property located in an R-3 zoning <br /> district at 11 Taffrail Way(Map 106, Block 7) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: J. Regan, E. Govoni, R. Nelson <br /> Engineer Michael Grotzke represented the applicant and reviewed plans for the garage which has <br /> been approved by Conservation pending planting of vegetation to prevent erosion. Abutter Edith <br /> Paparella of 67 Popponesset Island Road expressed concern about the erosion in the area. Curtis <br /> Hendricks is in the process of designing a wall to help prevent erosion and offered plans for <br /> review. <br /> Mr. Regan moved to take the matter under advisement stating he would like to view the area. <br /> Mr. Govoni seconded. Mr. Nelson made the vote unanimous. <br /> Kenneth E. Litvack- requests a Special Permit under Section 174-47 of the zoning By-laws to <br /> allow the expansion of a non-conforming home with the addition of a garage/hone office on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 11 Taffrail Way (Map 106, Block 7) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: J.
