TOt:.IN GO'.)ER -IMENT STRUCTURE <br /> Article 1 . 1 Town Meetings <br /> Section 1 . 1 . 1 Annual Town Meeting and Election The <br /> Annual Town Meeting for the appropriation <br /> of money and all other matters which shall <br /> pr OP—r l y came before it shall be held on <br /> the first Monday in May .at 7:00 p .m. each <br /> 9a.r ; and to further provide that the <br /> election of Town Officers shall be held on <br /> the immediate following Saturday, .at such <br /> Place as the Selectmen ma/ 'determine . The <br /> Selectmen may insert in the warrant for the <br /> Annual Meetings all articles and/or <br /> Petitions signed by ten or more legal <br /> voter_, vlh i ch • hal 1 have, been del i vered <br /> to the Selectmen , or either of them, or the <br /> Town Clerk on , or before , the first Monday <br /> in Febri.iar•y each year ; but the Selectmen <br /> m.ay insert in said .Warrant any article , or <br /> articles, received by, them after said <br /> Honda::. in February if , in their judgment , <br /> i t i s ads:, i sabl a to do so and whenever i <br /> e t is <br /> possible shall , before calling a Special <br /> Town Meeting, insert in .a local newspaper <br /> a notice specifying the last day upon <br /> !•4hich articles to be inserted in the <br /> warrant for such meetings shall be , <br /> presented to the Selectmen or Town Clerk . 1 <br /> The t:ja.r•ran t for the Annual Town Meeting <br /> _hall also designate the Town Officers whoI <br /> are to be chosen by ballot and their <br /> respective terms of c cap . Ten percent of the number of <br /> registered voters in the Town , as certified <br /> by the Town Clerk , shall constitute a N <br /> quorum at any Annual Meeting. Five percent <br /> of the number of registered voters shall <br /> constitute a quorum at any Special Town j <br /> Meeting. <br /> Sect ! on 1 . 1 . 3 klarr an t .
