Any change in the rate of compensation for travel allowance shall be effective immediately upon its adoption by vote of town meeting subject to approval as required by the General Laws , and any payment increase hereunder shall not be paid until said approval is obtained and published. Article 3.3 Annual Town Audit . Section 3.3. 1 Audit by State . There shall be an annual audit of the Town's Accounts under the supervision of the Director of Accounts of the Department of Revenue , in accordance with the provisions of Section 35, Chapter 44, General Laws. In the event the Department of Revenue is unable to perform an annual audit of the Town's Accounts, the Selectmen may engage a Certified Public Accountant to perform a. tovin a.udi t . Article 3.4 Annual Inventory. All department heads of the Town shall prepare and submit_ to the Selectmen between May 15 and no later than June 30 of each .year , a complete inventory of all town-owned property for which their department is responsible .
