A list of betterments assessed during the year . Section 2. 1 .4 Fuel Purchases. It shall be the duty of the Selectmen to purchase for the several 1 boards or committees, oil , coal and fuel oil . The various boards, departments and l committees shall , on or before July 1 in each year Cor earlier if required by the Selectmen) , send in writing to the Board of Selectmen the estimated amounts of oil , coal and fuel oil required for the use of their respective boards, departments or committees for one year . The Selectmen s shall advertise for bids to furnish the required amount of oil , coal and fuel oil , f and shall award the constracts to the lowest responsible bidder or shall make the purchase through the State Purchasing Agent or the County Purchasing Agent . The contractor for oil , coal and fuel oil shall give bond in an amount sat i sfac tory to the Selectmen for the faithful performance of his contract . (Amended at Annual Town Meeting May 3, 1952, and k approved by Attorney General September 7, 1952) . Section 2. 1 .5 Time Limit for Annual Report . It shall be the duty of the Selectmen to have F printed Annual Reports of the Town ready s for distribution not later than seven days before the Annual Town Meeting. Section 2. 1 .,6 Appointments. The Selectmen shall fill the following positions as indicated I hereafter with preference being given to residents of the Town : a.
