FORM MA66. 76A 9.67 ORDER FOR BURIED CABLE LOCATION Itv the Hoard of Selectmen of the Town of MASHPEE, Massachusetts — ORDERED: That permission be and hereby is granted the NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY to place and maintain buried cable, manholes, handholes, and pedestals with the wires and tables therein, markers and other fixtures in or under the surface of the following public way or ways, as requested in petition of said Company dated the 5th day of December 1972 SANDWICH - COTUIT ROAD Buried cable beginning 1221 south of the Mashpee- Sandwich Town Line on the westerly side of Sandwich Cotuit Road and running in a southeasterly direction for approx. 12001 FIVE (5) ROAD CROSSINGS Eleven (11) terminals Substantially as shown on plan marked- N. E. T. & T. Co. No ..... ........995 ............... ..... ,........................................ Pated. Dec...5,..29.72.............. filed with said petition. Also that permission be and hereby is granted said NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY to place and maintain underground laterals, manholes, handholes, pedestals, cables and wires in the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as it may desire for distributing purposes. The foregoing permission is subject to the following conditions: 1. The laterals, manholes, handholes, pedestals, and markers shall be of such material and construction and all work dune in such manner as to he satisfactory to such municipal officers as may be appointed to the supervision of the work, and a plan showing the location of buried cable laid shall he filed with the Town when the work is completed. 2. Said Company shall indemnify and save the Town harmless against all damages, costs and expense whatsoever to which the Town may be subjected in consequence of the acts or neglect of said Company, its agents or servants, or in any manner arising from the rights and privileges granted it by the Town. , 3. In addition said Company shall before a public way is disturbed for the placing of its buried cable, execute its bund in a penal sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) (reference being had to the bond already on file with said Town) conditioned for the faithful performance of its duties under this permit. 4. Said Company shall comply with the requirements of existing by-laws and such as may hereafter be adopted governing the construction and maintenance of buried cable, conduits and wires so far as the same are not inconsistent with the laws of the Commonwealth.
