'c
1'
District No. 13
National Association of
Securities Dealers, Inc.
50 Milk Street, Ste. 1810 ;
Boston, Massachusetts 02109
J
rtof ,
.12
September 16, 1985 E
F
Board of Selectmen $EP ,
Town of Mashpee
Mashpee Town Hall
Mashpee, MA 02649 r°
Dear Members of the Board:
It is with deep regret that I must resign from the Board of Assessors
effective November 1, 1985. This is being necessitated by my being promoted '
to Vice President in charge of our New York Office which unfortunately, does 1
not take in Cape Cod. 1
I have enjoyed my relationships with the town and its officers which
spans some twelve of the fourteen years I have lived in Mashpee where I ul- f
timately intend to retire. I thank each of you personally and extend my
warmest regards and appreciation to the Executive Secretary, Joe Murphy, and
Town Counsel, Joe Riordan.
My term of office would expire in May of 1986 and to fulfill this
period, I very strongly recommend for your consideration, Arthur Morley.
Arthur has been a long time resident of the town, over sixteen years, and
has been and is actively engaged in programs that cover computer hardware
and software areas and this alone would be of great value to the town. He
is also extremely knowledgeable in the property values of New Seabury where
he resides and which constitutes a substantial portion of the town's assess-
ment. He presently is associated with the State Street Bank in the field of
municipal finance and this I also believe would be beneficial.
Thank you again and I look forward to seeing each of you when I return
sometime in the future.
Best regards,
1U—cxXv0.lY11 J, e:suvu.lYWIYI
William S.
