MASS.96FORM 553 ORDER FOR CONDUIT LOCATION <br /> 216565 <br /> In Board of Selectmen of the Town of Mashpee Massachusetts. <br /> ORDERED: <br /> That permission be and hereby is granted the NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELE- <br /> GRAPH COMPANY to lay and maintain underground conduits and manholes, with the wires and cables <br /> to be placed therein, under the surface of the following public way or ways as requested in petition of <br /> said Company elated the 12th day of August 19 81 <br /> ROUTE 28 Place and maintain 2 and 3 ducts conduit apprx. 1-5' off hard surface <br /> (Total Conduit: on Route 28 south side of road starting with 2 ducts at Barnstable <br /> 8,968' ) Mashpee Town line and running 319' westerly to Bowdoin Road crossing in <br /> a 97' OPEN CUT thence westerly 1811' to MH T32O wall thence 65' to <br /> Old Mill Road crossing in a 90' OPEN CUT thence 483' to Levings Lane <br /> crossing apron in a 25' OPEN CUT thence 1030' to Orchard Road crossing <br /> in a 90' OPEN CUT thence 2 ducts continues to Quinaquisett Avenue where <br /> conduit changes to 3 ducts crossing Quinaquisett Avenue in a 140' OPEN <br /> CUT thence 3 ducts continues westerly 800' to wall of MH T31O thence <br /> 863' westerly to.pole 2'4/26. where 3 ducts ties in with existing conduit <br /> of Tel approximately 320' easterly of Mashpee Rotary. <br /> Substantially as shown on plan marked—N. E. T. & T. CO., No. 81-54OA Dated 8-12-81 <br /> filed with said petition. <br /> Also that permission be and hereby is granted said NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELE- <br /> GRAPH COMPANY to lay and maintain underground conduits, manholes, cables and wires in the above <br /> or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as it <br /> may desire for distributing purposes. <br /> The foregoing permission is subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. The conduits and manholes shall be of such material and construction and all work done in such manner <br /> as to be satisfactory to the Board of Selectmen or to such officers as it may appoint to the supervision of <br /> the work, and a plan showing Ohre location of conduits constructed shall be filed with the Town when the <br /> work is completed <br /> -2.-Sw-auu-y.-4ndergraund-main-line-c nduit-constructed by laid-Company-hereunder-oncduct�not-less-than <br /> t-be reserved-and=maintained4ree--of-charge-for=the=nse=af=the_fi[e,_p ice, <br /> t g-to-theTown-and-used-by-i" ur- <br /> poses. <br /> 3. Said Company shall indemnify and save the Town harmless against all damages, costs and expense <br /> whatsoever to which the Town may be subjected in consequence of the acts or neglect of said Company, its <br /> agents or servants, or in any manner arising from the rights and privileges granted it by the Town. <br /> 4. In addition said Company shall, before a public way is disturbed for the laying of its wire or conduits, <br /> execute its bond in a penal sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) (reference being had to the bond already <br /> on file with said Town) conditioned for the faithful performance of its duties under this permit. <br /> S. Said Company shall comply with the requirements of existing by-laws and such as may hereafter be <br /> adopted governing the construction and maintenance of conduits and wires, so far as the same are not <br /> inconsistent with the laws of the Commonwealth. <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing order was adopted at a meeting of the Board of Selectmen of the <br /> Mashpee '� <br /> Town of _ Massachusetts, held on the. �........ . . .....day of- ........1981 <br /> Clerk of Selectmen. <br /> (OVER I <br />
