I <br /> December 6 1971 { <br /> Dear Resident of Town of Mashpee: <br /> Early in 1971, tie New Seabury Corporation was making <br /> plans to build its first condominiums in Section 9, located <br /> between High Wood and Popponesset Village. (This area is <br /> enclosed by a heavy black line on the right hand portion of <br /> your map. ) <br /> This proposal met with something less than an enthusi- <br /> astic response from the Popponesset and New Seabury <br /> residents . After considerable study between the Peninsula <br /> Council, the Popponesset Association and New Seabury Corp- <br /> oration, it was agreed that the best solution would be to <br /> transfer 80 units from Section 9 to the western part of New <br /> Seabury, leaving only 30 dwelling units in Section 9 between <br /> High Wood and Popponesset . The 80 dwelling units being <br /> taken away from High Wood would be added to the 1547 units <br /> already existing under present zoning, thereby making a total <br /> of 1627 dwelling units as shown in the combined section on <br /> your map. <br /> It is important to note that Article 15 does not in any t <br /> way change the unit or commercial densities already existing <br /> in New Seabury.
