Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br /> hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the <br /> Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections, to <br /> meet at the Town Hali on Monday, the 6th day of March, 1967, <br /> at seven o'clock p.m. , for the following purposes: <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following warrant . <br /> To meet at the Town Hall the following Wednesday, March 8, 1967, <br /> to bring in their votes for the election of the following officers; <br /> as adopted by the town. The polls will be open at twelve o' clock <br /> noon and may be closed at seven.-thirty p.m. <br /> The meeting was opened at 7: 1 $ p.m. , March 6, 1967) by Moderator ! <br /> William W. Mills. A quorum was present, 135 voters . A prayer was i <br /> delivered by Selectman Leroy M. Aiken. The pledge to the American _ <br /> flag was led by Selectman Frank E. Hicks . <br /> Tellers were Mrs . Barbara Peters and Miss Eleanor Peters. � <br /> ARTICLE 41 . To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter I, <br /> Article 1 , Section 2 of the Town By-Laws by rescinding said <br /> section as it now stands and by substituting the following: <br /> "EveryTown Meeting; except as otherwise provided by law, <br /> shall,,,be directed to the constable who shall forthinlith give notice, ! <br /> at -1e°ast seven ( '7) days before such meeting, by posting a copy of <br /> said warrant, one at the Town Hall, one at the Post Office and one <br /> at each of the Town bulletin boards, and by causing to be published <br /> in a newspaper of general circulation within the town copy of said <br /> warrant" or take any other action thereon. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded that article be accepted. as <br /> amended. So voted. <br /> ARTICLE 43 . To see if the Town will vote to rescind that portion of 4 <br /> .Article .1 , 2 € <br /> 3 and 4 of the anti-noise by-laws, adopted at the <br /> special Town Meeting of July 20, 1965, calling for a fine of $20.00 <br /> and amend said portion to read, "Any person violating this by-law <br /> shall be punished by a fine of not more than y)'50.00 for each offense.11 <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded that article be accepted as read. <br /> A unanimous vote. <br /> ARTICLE 44. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 1 , I <br /> Section 1=A of Chanter 1 of the Town By-Laws by adding the following: <br /> "All articles submitted for inclusion in the warrant of any Town <br /> Meeting shall be printed or typewritten, and in duplicate," or take �I <br /> any other action thereon. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded that article be accepted as read. <br /> :; A unanimous vote . <br />
