intent <br /> It is the intent of thts by-law to protect, conserve, and imp om <br /> the unique visual qual '.ty of the Town of Mashpee while pr vidirg <br /> reasonable regulation-s- acrd control of the erection and mainteranca <br /> of signs and advertisirg devices without restricting the car&ict <br /> of Law£ut enterprise. <br /> 10.1 No sign or advertising devices of any kind or nature shall be 4 <br /> erected on any premises or affixed to the outside of any stricture <br /> or be visible from the outside,of any structure in Mashpee eaacept <br /> as permitted by this section. <br /> 10.2 Plans, Specificattons and Permits <br /> • <br /> 10.2.1 Owner's consent: Before any permit is granted for the erection of a <br /> sign, plans and specifications shall be filed with the building <br /> inspector showing the dimensions, materials and required details <br /> of construction, including Loads, stresses and anchorage, where <br /> required. The applications shall be accoapani.ed by the written <br /> consent of the owner or lessee of the premises upon whit the sigh <br /> is to be erected. <br /> 10.2.2 *w signs: A new, sign shall not hereafter be erected, constructed, <br /> altered or maintained except.as herein provided and email after a <br /> permit has been issued by the building inspector, and the bond, if <br /> regtAred, shall have been filed in accordance with Section 10.8. <br /> Signs of over twenty (20) square feet, existing as .of the effective <br /> I date of this by-law, shall have their continued use subject to the <br /> issuance of a permit from the building inspector. the deadline for <br /> obtaining such a permit is Sept. 1, 1485. <br /> 10.2.3 Alterations: A sign shall rot be enlarged or relocated eaacept in <br /> conformity to the provisions of this article for new signs, nor <br /> until a proper pert has bafn secured. The changing of movable <br /> parts of an ..'signated for such changes <br /> or the repainting or reporting of display matter, shall not be <br /> deemed an alteration; prcvided the conditions of the original' <br /> approval and the requirements of this article are not violated. <br /> 10,2.4 ''ew sians exceeding twenty (20) square feet require a <br /> 1 special permit from the :~card of Appeals, in accordance <br /> > with S,ecti.on 6. <br /> s <br /> i ,, <br />
