Article 3.7 Reversion of Specific Appropriations to <br /> the General Fund <br /> Section 3.7. 1 Definitions: As used in this Article , the <br /> following wards shall have the following <br /> meaning: <br /> "General Appropriation" - Any appropriation <br /> made by Town Meeting which is not a I <br /> specific appropriation within the meaning <br /> of this Article . I <br /> "Specific Appropriation" - An approproation <br /> made by Town Meeting which is described <br /> within the vote making the appropriation as <br /> being "specific" , and is otherwise a <br /> specific appropriation under the law. <br /> i <br /> Section 3.7.2 Reversion of General Appropriations to <br /> the General Fund <br /> General apprapriatians made by the Town i <br /> Meeting shall continue to revert to the <br /> general fund at the close of the fiscal <br /> year for which they are made , as provided <br /> by law. <br /> Section 3.7.3 Reversion of Specific Appropriations to <br /> the General Fund <br /> Unless otherwise provided in a vote of the �. <br /> Town Meeting making a specific � <br /> appropriation , or unless a specific <br /> appropriation has been encumbered by <br /> contractural obligations, specific � s. <br /> appropriations shall have a normal life of <br /> three (3) years from the commencement of <br /> the fiscal year in which it was approved. i <br /> At the end of the third fiscal year , any <br /> funds remaining in that appropriation shall <br /> revert to the general fund. A vote making <br /> a specific appropriation may provide that <br /> the appropriation shall revert to the f <br /> general fund at the end of any fiscal year . <br /> Section 3.7.4 The Town may, at any time under a proper <br /> article in a warrant , extend the date on j <br /> which a specific appropriation would i <br /> otherwise revert to the general fund. j <br /> Section 3.7.5 The reversion of the balance of the funds <br /> in the specific appropriation account <br /> shall include any subsequent transfer of <br /> -41- <br />
