prescribed by the Fire Chief . <br /> The above mentioned bells or horns <br /> shall also be installed in the common <br /> hallways where they exist in any given <br /> building or structure . These bells <br /> or horns must be loud enought to be <br /> heard in any room in any unit .within <br /> any given building or structure . <br /> The alarm systems mandated by the By- <br /> Law for all existing multi -dwelling <br /> buildings or structures , must comply <br /> with the standards set forth herein , <br /> a within a maximum implementation <br /> period of twenty-four months after <br /> notification by the Fire Chief . <br /> Maintenance of all installed systems <br /> } is crucial . Prior to acceptance of <br /> i <br /> any system, a service contract or a <br /> notarized affidavit must be presented <br /> to the Fire Chief verifying that the <br /> alarm system is bieng maintained on <br /> at least an annual basis. <br /> This maintenance service must be <br /> provided by the owner of the structure <br /> or structures in the case of an <br /> apartment ( s) building, hotel , mot.el , <br /> boarding house, etc . , or by an <br /> association foremen by a group of owners <br /> as in the case of condominiums. The <br /> builder of the condominiums shall <br /> include a clause in the deed so <br /> stating that the responsibility of <br /> the alarm system maintenance will be <br /> placed on the association . <br /> Therewill be a penalty fee of twenty- <br /> five dollars ($25) per day for each <br /> day of non-compliance of any part of <br /> the By-Law. Non-compliance will <br /> begin twenty-four months after the <br /> date of official notification from the <br /> Fire Chief . <br /> The details of this implementation <br /> period shall be worked out prior to <br /> the issuance of any permits . <br /> The details for installation of the <br /> prescribed alarm system are available <br /> at the Mashpee Fire Department . <br /> i <br /> -46- <br />
