Mashpee Town Hall <br />Appeals Board: Peter M. Lawrence Vote: Unanimous <br />Clara Keliinui <br />Kevin D. O'Connell <br />Facts: The land in question is currently zoned R 2. The lot is surrounded by land <br />owned by the petitionert and contains a total area of 124>500 sq. ft. The <br />petitioner requests a Special Permit as required under Sec. 6 Part B., para- <br />graph 139 of the Zoning By-law of 1973. The petitioner has stated that the <br />location oft the previous beach club is inadequate for permanent development <br />and requests a Special Permit to provide beach facilities for the residents <br />of New Seabury. <br />Decision. <br />The size of the lot and the intended use of the premises lend itself to the <br />issuance of a Special Permit. However the board feels that the possibility <br />of a perking problem may exist. Thereforep the board issues the Special Per- <br />m2t with the following conditions; <br />1. New parking areaso as designated on the attached mapp must be <br />established prior to the opening of the beach facilityp to wit; <br />A. Parking area in the Pine Grove at the Shore Drive <br />• frontage of the beach facility. (Fig. 1) <br />(see map at.tach.)B. Parking area to the North of the existing tennis <br />courts to accomodate 25 automobiles. (Fig. 3) <br />±; C. Parking area behind the existing Popponesset Realty <br />building to accomodate 60 automobiles. (Fig. 2) <br />2. After the first seasont the board may require the construction of <br />additional parking as shown on attached map as figure # 4. <br />3. The board shall insist that no parking be allowed on or at the <br />sides of Shore Drive. The Chief of Police of the Town of Mashpee <br />shall be notified to tow any cars found parked on Shore Drive. <br />'. 4. The New Seabury Corporation shall notify the New Seabury Beach <br />Club Executive Board that it must do all within it's power to <br />control the parking of the igembers care so that no parking of <br />automobiles will obstruct the free passage of other vehicles on <br />Shore Drive or into the laundry or store areas. :1 notice of rules <br />governing the above shall be sent to'each member of the Beach Ctub. <br />5.
