attractively landscaped with bushes , lawn and natural pines . <br /> The neighborhood is comprised as follows : to the east of the <br /> Premises, the land continues to be zoned I-1 Industrial in part <br /> and C-1 Commercial; to the south of the Premises, the land is <br /> zoned I-1 Industrial; to the west of the Premises, across <br /> Mashpee Neck Road, the land is zoned R-2 Residence; the land is <br /> predominantly vacant except for a small business and some <br /> residences toward the rear. Thus , there really isn't a <br /> "neighborhood" in the immediate vicinity of the non-conforming <br /> use which could arguably suffer any detriment , and the proposed <br /> extension, comprising a difference of 50 feet in building depth <br /> and 6 parking spaces , should not be "substantially more det- <br /> rimental" in any event . Petitioner believes that no useful <br /> purpose would be served by interfering with the existing <br /> construction or requiringa costly and impractical relocation <br /> of the Addition. <br /> I D. BEST INTEREST OF THE COMMUNITY . Petitioner <br /> further believes that it would be in the best interest of the <br /> community to grant the required special permit, which will <br /> enable Petitioner to retain its Mashpee Revenue ,Bond financing <br /> and to timely complete the construction begun in reliance upon <br /> the current building permit . Ultimately, some 500 persons <br /> from -Mashpee and neighboring communities will be employed. <br /> SUMMARY OF REQUESTS FOR FINDINGS AND SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Petitioner respectfully requests the Board to <br /> 1 . Find that : <br /> (a) The Addition and additional guest parking <br /> described herein constitute a change, intensification, extension <br />
