BOX 1108 <br /> fqg E(,0- MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> RE: Petition of Joel Zeger for Variance Case #V-87-95-047 <br /> A Petition was filed by Joel Zeger of Mashpee, Massachusetts for a <br /> Variance for permission to install and maintain a fixed pier and floating <br /> dock in a R-3M Zoning District on property located on 268 Popponessett <br /> Island, (map 106, plot 1 ) , Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on <br /> April 29 & May 6, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof.. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, May 13, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following mem- <br /> bers of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: William <br /> Hanrahan, Manuel Costa and Michael Makunas. <br /> Information was received that the overall length of the proposed <br /> dock will be 72 feet. Abutter present voiced his concern with the small <br /> amount of area between docks in which to navigate his boat. Plans were <br /> revised, at said meeting, to shorten the width of the dock to six feet. <br /> Recommendations were received from the Mashpee Conservation Commission. <br /> The Mashpee Shellfish Commission voiced no formal opposition. <br />
