MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> RE: Petition of Wayne Tavares for a Variance Case /1V-87-02-016 <br /> A Petition was filed by Wayne Tavares of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Variance for permission to vary the signage requirements in a <br /> R-3M Zoning District on property located on Lot 17 Bowdoin Road, <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachu- <br /> setts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in <br /> the Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the <br /> Town of Mashpee on January 28 & February 4, 1987, a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, February 11, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Thomas Sexton. <br /> Information was recieved that the signage for the front lot <br /> facing Route 28 will be ten feet in length. Recommendations from the <br /> Design Review Committee were implemented at which time approval for <br /> the signage was given. The Board received information that the sign <br /> facing Bowdoin Road will be a directory sign. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously on March 11, 1987 to grant the 11 foot front Variance <br /> for the signage facing Route 28 and the 11 foot Variance for the <br /> directory sign on Bowdoin road as requested. <br />
