BOARDOf OFCAft ollpeE
PPEALS
P. 0. BOX 1108
rlE F, MASHPEE. MA 02649
DECISION
RE: Petition of DJD Realty Trust for a Special Permit Case #SP-87-08-084
A Petition was filed by DJD Realty Trust of Mashpee, Massachusetts for
a Special Permit for permission to construct a retail/office complex in a
C-2 Zoning District on property located on lot 2 Forestdale Road, Mashpee,
Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on
August 12 & 19, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, August 26, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following members
of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Wililam Hanrahan,
Manuel Costa and Michael Makunas.
Information was received that the parcel encumbers 2.03 acres of land,
the structure occupies 6,300 square feet which represents 7% total land
coverage. The Board learned the first floor of the complex will consist
of retail space, the second level will consist of office space and the base-
ment area will be utilized as a storage facility for first floor tenants.
The Board was informed due to the private water system on the parcel the
proposed complex will be limited to 24 tenants/employees until such time as
an adequate water system for the entire complex can be provided. Comments
were received from the Planning Board.
