MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> RE: Petition of Arthur Burnes for a Variance Case #V-87-09-089 <br /> A Petition was filed by Arthur Burnes of Mashpee, Massachusetts for a <br /> Variance for permission to enter within 50 feet of the wetlands and to ex- <br /> tend a non-conforming use in a R-3 (previous R-1 ) Zoning District on pro- <br /> perty located on lot 293 Compass Drive, Popponesset Island, Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts Gen- <br /> eral Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth Enter- <br /> prise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on Augsut 26 <br /> & September 2, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, September 9, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following members <br /> of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: William Hanrahan, <br /> Michael Makunas and Edward Govoni . <br /> The Board was informed the proposed addition will be 22 feet square. Thru <br /> information received the Board learned there is no alternative location in <br /> which to place the proposed dwelling due to the shape of the lot and the loca- <br /> tion of the septic system. Comments were received from the Mashpee Conserva- <br /> tion Commission. <br />
